Veronica Martinez-Gallegos is the Assistant Director for the Spiritual Care and Education Department at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She started her career as a Chaplain Intern at CMC-Mercy in 2013. She completed two years of Residency at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital assigned to the Palliative Care Team. She is a graduate of Campbell University, where she earned a Master of Divinity degree. Veronica began Supervisory Education in August 2016 and was granted Candidacy in March of 2017. She is ordained and endorsed through Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Veronica and her husband are parents of eighteen year-old twin daughters, Samantha and Isabel.
Dianne R. Malcolm McGlen is a chaplain, educator, preacher, pastor, counselor, mother, and retreat facilitator in religious, corporate, and governmental venues. In every capacity, she uses all of her gifts, experiences, education, and training toward liberation, healing, restoration, and empowerment. For the past six years, Dianne has worked with Veterans, families, staff and Clinical Pastoral Education students at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia. Chaplain McGlen is an ordained Itinerate Elder and endorsed Chaplain with the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Her board certification is through the National Association of Veterans Affairs Chaplains (NAVAC). She is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics and Payne Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity. Her education continues at Vanderbilt University pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree. She was introduced to CPE and completed her internship and residency experiences at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, NC. She later joined the Hampton Veteran Affairs Medical Center to complete one residency unit and subsequently entered the certified educator track.

Certified Educator
Chaplain Megan Alleman was certified by in December 2020. In addition to training as a CEC at the Oklahoma City VAHCS she completed her Doctor of Ministry in Clinical Spiritual Care Education and Supervision at Union Theological Seminary-NYC in May 2021. Megan is currently a staff chaplain at the OKC VAHCS where she is also serving as the interim Certified Educator.
Sonja is based in Duluth, Minnesota.
Jawad completed his ACPE educator certification at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, Cleveland, OH in November 2020. He began serving as Manager of Pastoral Care and CPE at Penn Medicine Princeton House Behavioral Health, Princeton, NJ in January 2021. He holds primary spiritual care responsibility for inpatients, provides outpatient coverage, supports staff members, and supervises CPE students throughout the Penn Medicine Princeton Health system. Jawad enjoys playing video games, spending quality time with his family and friends, practicing martial arts, delighting in flavorful foods, and witnessing the beauty in creation through walks, hikes and travel. He lives in Princeton, NJ with his wife and daughter.
Joel Berning is a chaplain at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where he completed all of his Certified Educator CPE (with training supervisors Beth Glover, Nathan Goldberg, and Mychal Springer). He also completed his residency at NYP with Beth Glover and Meigs Ross. Before NYP, he took summer units at the Jewish Theological Seminary and Stanford University Medical Center.
Sam Chinn is an ACPE Certified Educator for Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville (BMCJ) CPE Center. Before coming to Baptist Health, Sam served as a Chaplain Intern and then as a Resident at Grady Health System in Atlanta. He did a second residency at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia, focused on Pediatric ICU. He completed his Certified Educator training at BMCJ in November 2020.
Sam earned a BA from Georgetown College and an MDiv from Mercer University. He is ordained by Edgewood Church in Atlanta, Georgia, and endorsed by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship to Baptist Health, Jacksonville, Florida. He was Board-Certified by the Association for Professional Chaplains (APC) in August 2020.
Sam serves on the Board of the Towers of Jacksonville, Inc., a non-profit housing facility for low-income senior adults, and is active at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church. When he is not working, Sam enjoys running, gardening, cooking, and spending time with his lovely wife, Claire, and their two fantastic dogs.
Jennifer is based in Stanford, California.
Rev. Jeanine Dorfman currently serves as the Certified Educator at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of Allina CPE Center. Prior to that, she spent over six years as a staff chaplain at Methodist Hospital, followed by 13 years as a chaplain, grief counselor, and CEC at Allina Hospice. Jeanine enjoys play time, relaxation and healing time with her wife Theresa and their two kids.
Stephen Faller is a Board Certified Chaplain and a Clinical Educator. He is the first to complete the "Alternative Entry to the Certification Process for Persons with Certification from Other Recognized Entities of Clinical Pastoral Education" as a Diplomate of the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy in Hopewell, NJ. He is the author of Beyond the Matrix (2004), Reality TV (2009), and The Art of Spiritual Midwifery (2015). He has a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School and a Master of Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Rabbi Dr. Geoffrey J. Haber is the Director of Spiritual Care at Baycrest Health Sciences, Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Adjunct Lecturer at Knox College, Toronto School of Theology at the University of Toronto. He is also a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy Reserve Chaplain Corps. Rabbi Haber attended the Joint Program of Columbia University (BA, cum laude) and The Jewish Theological Seminary of America (BA, “with distinction”) in New York, NY. He continued his studies at JTS’s Rabbinical School (Conservative) where he received his MA, Ordination and, later, DD (Hon.). Rabbi Haber went on to receive his Orthodox Ordination from Yeshivas Ahavas Torah VaChesed (Rabbi Asher Turin) in Toronto, ON. Rabbi Haber earned his DMin. in Pastoral Care and Counseling at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health and Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York. Rabbi Haber completed his CPE training at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Centre (Boston, MA), Hebrew Senior Life (Boston, MA) and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (Toronto, ON). Rabbi Haber is a Board-Certified Chaplain through both Neshama: The Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC) and the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC). He is a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Supervisor-Educator and also a psychotherapist registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Rev. Dr. Imani Jones is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in African American and African Studies and Political Science. She graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary with Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees. Imani has also earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Ecumenical Theological Seminary with a focus on including African American voices and perspectives in CPE curriculum development. Currently, Imani is a Certified Educator and CPE Program Manager at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Imani is a Board Certified Chaplain in the Association of Professional Chaplains. She serves as co-pastor, along with her husband, of Advent United Church of Christ in Columbus, OH, and is the proud mother of three children.

Born and raised in the nation's capital - Washington, D.C., Angel Lee earned her B.S. in Mathematics from Bennett College and her MBA from Elon University. After nearly 10 years working with IBM, she decided to pursue full-time ministry. She enrolled in Wake Forest University's School of Divinity after working a few months as a math teacher in community colleges and high school. While enrolled in divinity school, she went on to complete a CPE internship at the Durham VA Health Care System. Upon graduation, she entered CPE residency at the Durham VA Health Care System to begin her chaplaincy career.
The Reverend Jill A. Lowry is ordained in the United Church of Christ. She holds an M.A. in Communications from Purdue University Calumet and an M.Div. from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Jill also holds a Board of Chaplaincy Certification from the Association of Professional Chaplains. She served as a parish minister for three years during her seminary education and as an associate minister for two years prior. She is also a Certified Reiki Master. Jill completed her ACPE Certification training at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, where she is currently on staff as an Educator Chaplain. Jill is the mother of two sons and is currently engaged to Reverend Marv Dandurand, who is also a chaplain.
Stephenie is based in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
The Rev. Caroline U. Phillips was certified in January of 2021. Caroline is an ordained Presbyterian (PCUSA) minister. She completed her chaplain residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago in 2012-2013, and spent several years after that working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and solo pastor. She then returned to Rush in 2016 as a staff chaplain and SES. While at Rush, she supervised CPE interns and served as a chaplain for the surgical oncology and psychiatry floors. Caroline is married to Jon, also a Presbyterian pastor, and they have two daughters, ages 3 and 1. Both were born as she was completing the process to become a Certified Educator. Caroline started in January as Assistant Director of Clinical Pastoral Education at Cone Health in Greensboro, North Carolina. She and her family are enjoying the slower pace and warmer weather, but miss all of their wonderful friends and colleagues in Chicago. Caroline is especially grateful to her supervisor at Rush, the Rev. Mark Tabbut, for seeing her through the new process.
Elizabeth is based in Falls Church, Virginia.
Michelle Robinson is the Manager of Spiritual Care and Education at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina. She trained as a CEC with Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina. Michelle enjoys spending time with her family (husband and three daughters), reading fiction, musical theatre, walking her dogs, and all things connected to mythology.

Originally hailing from Mississauga, Ontario, Rachel received her bachelor's degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. After working in the Jewish community in social justice-oriented positions and in the camping world, she discerned a call to the rabbinate. Rachel was ordained through Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York City in 2013 and served as Associate Rabbi at Temple Beth-El of Great Neck on Long Island, NY before returning to chaplaincy. She completed her Certified Educator training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY, where she currently works as an educator. Rachel and her husband Toby live in Brooklyn, NY with their fantastic dog, Neko.
Certification in Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy
Jennifer Macchia works in Charlotte, North Carolina as a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Macchia practices at The Counseling Center at Charlotte (housed at Park Road Baptist Church) and at McCloud Acosta Clinical Services in Matthews. She works with children as young as three, adolescents, and adults of all ages.
Caleb Pusey works in Asheville, North Carolina as a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Pusey practices at CareNet Counseling locations in Marion and Asheville. (CareNet is an outpatient counseling subsidiary of the Wake Forest Baptist Health system.) He works with adolescents, adults of all ages, couples, and families.
