International Educational Placement Agreement
International educational placement agreements are for use only for in-person educational placements internationally and in countries where ACPE, Inc. does not have reciprocity agreements. The international educational placement agreement allows ACPE accredited programs to conduct units of CPE in-person as a meeting space at a specific setting apart from the location of the ACPE accredited program. An accredited program may use an international educational placement agreement to offer units of CPE at an international specific site, until renewed, no more than two times.
An international educational placement agreement must include the following:
- Name, location, and website of the host ACPE accredited program
- Name and brief description of the in-person international educational space where the CPE unit will be conducted
- Start and end dates of the CPE unit
- Indicate on the agreement that this “CPE Unit is Not Recognized by the US Department of Education”
- Name and signature of the ACPE-accredited program manager
- Name and signature of the ACPE Certified Educator or educator from an organization that has reciprocity with ACPE, Inc. who will conduct the unit(s)
- Name, title, and signature of the administrator or designated person who oversees the functioning of the international in-person site
- Name and signature of the International Relations Committee (IRC) Accreditation Representative and IRC Chair
- The International Educational Placement Agreement should be completed with the above details and signatures. Then, emailed to the IRC’s ACPE Accreditation Representative 90 days prior to the start of the unit. The representative will review the agreement within 10 days and be in contact with the program to confirm it with a signature or for revising the educational placement agreement.
Students participating in a scheduled unit will be enrolled with ACPE, Inc. under the accredited program and will receive credit for the unit pursuant to ACPE standards, policies, and procedures.
The ACPE accredited program shall upload into their SharePoint Portfolio the completed International Educational Placement Agreement. Additionally, the program is to make clear in their Dashboard under the “Individual CPE Unit Enrollment Summary” section the units utilizing the approved International Educational Placement Agreement. All ACPE Standard policies and procedures, such as program evaluation, for conducting a CPE unit apply.
