In this fall season many cultures celebrate the plenty of harvest and encourage expressions of gratitude.

We are grateful for you, ACPE members, for your service and the fruits of your work as it is visible every day in your and your students’ care for the spiritual needs of so many people in a hurting world.

We are grateful for the gifts which many of our members contribute to ACPE during this season. As you consider a gift that will advance the mission of ACPE, I want to share with you the values that guide our stewardship of your donation. The Foundation of ACPE is committed to become an actively anti-racist organization. This commitment directs how we invest the funds entrusted to us. A good portion of donations is invested in endowments that generate income for our ongoing work and ensure ACPE’s viability in the future.

Last week our Foundation Board voted on stringent values that guide our financial stewardship. Thank you to treasurer Maggie Kulyk and ACPE staff Jasmine Okafor and Trace Haythorn who provided leadership in strengthening our socially responsible investment strategy.

The Board voted to exclude from our investments companies that significantly profit from the production or sale of fossil fuels, weaponry (handguns and weapons of war), tobacco and alcohol, gambling enterprises, corporate prisons, military hardware, and for-hire mercenary service. In addition, we will make a positive difference by considering “ESG” metrics which evaluate how companies address environmental, social, governance issues. We seek to invest capital with companies that are leaders in creating positive change for a more sustainable and just global community.

As we receive your gifts with gratitude we seek to use and share them in ways that are life giving and build justice and equity.

Thank you for support. Join us in our effort by making a gift today!
