The Sentara School of Clinical Pastoral Education in Norfolk, VA is accepting applications for the 2023-2024 residency year (08/27/23- 08/31/24).
Residency will include 3 units of CPE. Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a Magnet® 525-bed facility, is a level 1 trauma center that serves as a mid-Atlantic destination medical center and is home to Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance.
SNGH is also the primary teaching institution for Eastern Virginia Medical School. Chaplain residents rotate through different clinical areas and work with board certified staff chaplain mentors.
SNGH is a unique place to learn the art and skill of spiritual care in an encouraging and challenging environment. Previous unit of CPE is required. Annual stipend is $37,356.80. Health insurance is available for residents.
