ACPE Leadership Election: Call for Nominations
As part of my role as Chair-Elect of the Board, I also serve as Chair of the Leadership Development Committee. Following our recent search to fill mid-year vacancies, we now move on to the annual leadership election process. We are entering the season when we begin planning who will help lead our association in the coming year(s).
The application process is now open for self-nominations for leadership positions starting in January 2026. This is our regular annual election, separate from the mid-year appointments we recently announced. Once applications are received, the LDC will review them and start assembling a slate for election by our members and for board appointments, as outlined in our bylaws and governance manual.
A general word of guidance: if you are new to serving in ACPE leadership, we invite you to consider a committee that would be a good fit as you start your service. Once you gain experience at that level, you will be considered more strongly for commission and board roles. Many of you will recognize this progression as a best practice in non-profit leadership, where new volunteers serve on board-appointed committees before considering serving on the board itself.
If you are thinking about applying for a role starting in January 2026, please enter this mutual discernment process and send us an application.
Many thanks,
Matt Rhodes, Leadership Development Committee Chair & ACPE Board Chair-Elect
