What truly sets us apart is our people. At Baptist Health, we create personal connections with our colleagues that go beyond the workplace, and we form meaningful relationships with patients and their families that extend beyond delivering care. Many of us have walked in our patients’ shoes ourselves and that shared experience fuels out commitment to compassion and quality. Our culture is rooted in purpose, and every team member plays a part in making a positive impact – because when it comes to caring for people, we’re all in.

Description:

Come be a part of a growing spiritual care team for the largest faith based healthcare organization in South Florida - Baptist Health South Florida.  Our Clinical Pastoral Education program sits on the campus shared by Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Lynn Cancer Institute on the southern end of tropical Palm Beach County, Florida.  We are 2.5 hours north of Key West and 2.5 hours south of Orlando and Disney World. A plethora of opportunities are offered to residents to provide ministry to patients, family members and staff from rich religious and culturally diverse populations in various clinical specialties.  Our CPE program is also part of the Center for the Advancement of Learning division of Baptist Health South Florida.  We take education seriously and focus on giving our participants quality training in a supportive and encouraging learning environment that fosters growth and allows room for curiosity and innovation.

Chaplain residents will have a responsibility to provide spiritual care to patients, families, staff and visitors in assigned clinical areas and as referrals and urgent requests are given (60-65%). They will also be given 10-12 hours per week (25-30%) to attend required Clinical Pastoral Education class sessions as part of their training. Residents may work with two ACPE Certified Educators during their training period with BHSF, but general oversight of all administrative, professional and educational functions is provided by the Director of Clinical Pastoral Education.

Program is targeted to begin on August 2026.
