Once a Certified Educator Candidate becomes certified and starts their journey as an ACPE Certified Educator, often a lot of questions arise. The Professional Wellbeing Committee has created a resource guide to help new CEs make this transition with more ease by offering a central place for finding guidance and direction. And we have learned that even experienced CEs find this resource guide helpful. Check it out here:
New Certified Educator Resource Guide (log in with your SharePoint Credentials).
New and experienced educators may ask themselves:
- What are all the Communities of Practice, and where do I find out what they do and how I can join?
- What do I need to do to keep up my CPE program’s accreditation portfolio?
- When am I due for a peer review and what’s involved?
- How do I report my continuing education requirements?
- How do I become National Faculty?
- How do I engage support and consultation as an ACPE Certified Educator?
- Who does what in the national office?
- How do I get involved in ACPE volunteer leadership?
The New CE Resource Guide provides guidance and links for these and many other questions. It is laid out like a newsletter, provides short introductory comments, and then sends you to the right resources.
So that you can find this Resource Guide any time you’ll need it, we posted it on SharePoint and provided a link on the ACPE website:
- It lives in SharePoint under the “Learning and Resources Tab.”
- There is a link on the ACPE website under the “News and Resources” tab under “Publications” (Use SharePoint credentials to log in).
I want to thank the members of the Professional Wellbeing Committee for your hard work putting this resource guide together. Special gratitude to Kristin Langstraat who did the design and layout of the newsletter and collected the resources provided by committee members.
We will regularly update this resources guide. Please send us your questions, feedback, or additional resources you’d like to see included.
