Accreditation and Student Unit Fee Increases
Dear ACPE Community,
During our spring meeting, the ACPE Finance Committee carefully examined the need to increase membership dues and program fees. The committee deemed it imperative to the organization's health and vitality to consider changes to meet programmatic and administrative needs as ACPE looks to increase member services and continue support for our programs and members. Notably, accreditation fees have remained unchanged since 2020, and individual memberships have remained unchanged for over 20 years. Given this long-standing stability in our fee structure, the Finance Committee has emphasized the necessity of some fee increases to address the impact of inflation and the need to grow our membership services resources. From that meeting, the Finance Committee provided the Board with several options for increasing ACPE's revenue with the intention of impacting programs and members as little as possible.
The Board reviewed the recommendations and voted to approve the following fee increases:
Item 1: Accreditation Fees Increase:
The ACPE Board adopted an annual increase of $300 for the years 2025 and 2026, represented as follows:
- 2025: Increase from $2,000 (current) to $2,300
- 2026: Increase from $2,300 to $2,600
Item 2: Student Unit Fee Increase
The ACPE Board adopted an annual increase of $30 per student unit for years 2026 and 2027, represented as follows:
- 2025: $240
- 2026: $270
- 2027: $300
(Please note that national parity for student unit fees will be achieved by 2025)
Item 3: Individual Membership Dues
- There will be no change to individual Membership Dues at this time.
These fee increases would partially support the following programmatic needs of ACPE:
- Development of member experience services and future Hub gatherings
- Accreditation site visits and consultations
- Technology infrastructure and support
- Support for International Student Visas
- Technical assistance for Commission and Committee Meetings
- ACPE administrative support
I want to express my sincere gratitude to the ACPE Finance Committee for their thoughtful recommendations, the ACPE Board for their deliberation and support, and the entire ACPE Community for their understanding and continued support as we navigate these necessary changes to meet the needs of our beloved organization and its members.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Ball
ACPE Secretary/Treasurer
