Standards Review Process
As part of the process of recognition by the US Department of Education, ACPE has committed to review its procedures and accreditation criteria every 5 years. This includes a review of the Standards. For more information about the review process, click here to view the Accreditation Manual.
Below is the timeline for the review of ACPE’s Standards. Please note that any proposed revisions will be made available for public comment during the specified time frame.
To provide initial feedback to the Accreditation Commission, please click here to complete an online form. Feedback provided through this link will be reviewed by the Commission for inclusion in any proposed revisions. Please note that this initial review is limited to the actual Standards in the Accreditation Manual.

Public notice about review of standards goes on to ACPE website and in the newsletter.
Initial Feedback Survey is included- open through February 18, 2024.
February 18, 2024 – March 8, 2024
Accreditation Commission reviews feedback and drafts any proposed changes to the standards.
March 4, 2024
Study Document with changes is posted on the ACPE website and in the newsletter.
Feedback Survey included- open through April 12, 2024
April 15, 2024-May 10, 2024
Accreditation Commission reviews feedback and creates final version of standards to submit to the Board of Directors for ratification.
May 19, 2024
ACPE Board Meets to ratify the final version of the standards.
Simultaneously to the above review process, the Accreditation Commission will be reviewing the Indicators, Required Materials, and other Policies and Procedures through August 2, 2024.On or About September 16, 2024The 2025 Accreditation Manual is published and takes effect as of January 1, 2025.Questions?
