Come to the 12th International Council on Pastoral Care and Counseling (ICPCC) Congress on July 3-6, 2023 In Potchefstroom, South Africa

Written by ACPE International Relations Committee

On behalf of the ACPE International Relations Committee

Conference Theme: “Truth and Reconciliation: Pastoral Caregiving Within the Process of Radical Socio-Political Transformation, Change and Conflict”

In 2015, the ICPCC Congress met in San Francisco in conjunction with the ACPE annual meeting.  This amazing group of international chaplains, theologians, and educators comes together every four years for learning and collaboration with one another. As ACPE is growing toward a more global awareness of international partners and learning from spiritual care and CPE models outside of N. America, conferences such as this Congress provide opportunities for us to build relationships, learn and expand our perspectives.  Hope you will consider attending!

This year’s Congress takes place at North-West University in Potchefstroom, South Africa starting at 8 am on Monday, July 3-Thursday, July 6. The University is about 78 miles outside of Johannesburg. There are a couple of shuttles provided from the Johannesburg airport for conference participants on Sunday, July 2nd if needed.  Conference registration which includes 4 or 5 nights of accommodation and all meals ranges from $360-700 per person depending on single or double occupancy, airport transfers, etc.

The theme of the conference is Truth and Reconciliation: Pastoral Caregiving Within the Process of Radical Socio-Political Transformation, Change, and Conflict.  Here is the link to the ICPCC website for more information:  www.icpcc.net
