Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy Training

ACPE SIP Trainings provide theoretical foundation and practical skills to help therapists integrate spirituality into their work. The SIP Training consists of 10 three-hour courses (30 hours of NBCC continuing education credit) and is open to licensed and pre-licensed mental health practitioners and graduate students in mental health disciplines. Click here for a complete program description and learning objectives for each course. Cost for online trainings is $750; cost for in-person trainings varies by location. This training is happening online and is led by Roosevelt Brown and Doug ThorpeRoosevelt Brown is the Chief Chaplain at the Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He provides pastoral counseling to veterans and their families in the Family Support Program and he works part-time at the Peninsula Pastoral Counseling Center. Roosevelt is a LMFT who has 25 years of experience integrating spirituality and religion into his clinical practice. Doug Thorpe is Executive Director of the Virginia Institute of Pastoral Care and a Licensed Professional Counselor.  He is excited to be offering this training in Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy to therapists of diverse backgrounds and theoretical orientations.
