Troubled Waters – Ethical Conflict Navigation
Perhaps you’re feeling weary, feeling small, or perhaps angry and frustrated. You feel you are navigating troubled waters in a relationship with a student or colleague. The relationship is important, and it is becoming more tense and difficult. Or you did something that has raised a few eyebrows. And now you are concerned it may result in a complaint being filed.
The Professional Ethics Commission’s purpose is to educate our members about ethics issues and adjudicate ethical complaints. Our webinar will focus on Ethics Standards, and present a case study to open conversations on how to ethically navigate troubled waters using best practices, remediation and repairing relationships. We will not be reviewing the complaint process during this webinar.
In our 90 minutes together, we will briefly discuss the purpose of the Professional Ethics Commission and our Professional Ethics Standards. In breakout rooms, we will review and discuss a case study. We will then regroup to review the issues related to the case and share resources. The webinar will be recorded (other than the breakout rooms discussions) for viewing later. We hope you will join us. Please contact Julie Hanada with any questions about the webinar at hanadajulie@gmail.com. We hope you join us.
