The Clinical Pastoral Education Residency Program operates on a rolling admissions basis. Since the year-long program begins in September, it is usually wiser to apply in the preceding autumn or winter than waiting until the spring. We formally begin reviewing applications in October.

Prerequisites:  Baccalaureate degree (BA or BS) minimum; Higher degree (e.g., MDiv, MTS) strongly preferred; Exceptions to this requirement will be considered on a case-by-case basis; Two years active membership in good standing with a faith community; Formal theological training recommended; Ordination and/or commission preferred, where applicable

Application Requirements:  You must apply both to the job posting of Chaplain Resident and to the Clinical Pastoral Education Residency Program to be considered.  Completed ACPE application with essay responses (available https://acpe.edu/education/cpe-students/cpe-application). Please note that all academic credentials must be documented with copies of diplomas or academic transcripts.
